Professor Jeremy Chapman Professor Jeremy Chapman

Director AIM Network

Professor Jeremy Chapman is Director of AIM Network. He is also Director of Renal Medicine, Westmead Hospital, Chair of the Australian Bone Marrow Donor Registry, President Elect of The International Transplantation Society, Immediate-Past President of the World Marrow Donor Association and past Chair of the Westmead Research Hub Executive and Scientific Advisory Committee.

 

In his role as Director of Renal Services at Westmead Hospital, he has been involved in the development of the renal transplant program and the Australian National Pancreas Transplant program. This service has had continuous peer reviewed funding for research in transplantation, xenotransplantation, islet transplantation and progression of renal disease for the past 20 years.

 

He has guided the NSW Tissue Typing Laboratory at the Red Cross, developed the Centre for Organ and Tissue Donation, now entitled Life Link, at the Australian Red Cross Blood Service and has chaired the creation of the Australian Bone Marrow Donor Registry and development of the Cord Blood Bank Network of Australia.
